In short
- The website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking.
- There are no forms; you contact me directly by email, phone or LinkedIn.
- Cookies are set only to remember a language you chose and, for editors, for the content preview.
- Images, maps and videos are loaded from the service providers named below.
Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). To deliver pages and protect the website against abuse, Vercel processes the technical data your browser sends with each request: IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer and user agent. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in operating a secure, working website. See Vercel's privacy policy.
Content and images
The texts, images and documents on this website are managed in DatoCMS (DatoCMS s.r.l., Italy). Images and files are delivered by DatoCMS's content delivery network (datocms-assets.com), so your browser sends its IP address and user agent to that network when it loads them. See DatoCMS's privacy policy.
Maps on the events page
The events page shows the location of each event as a static map image from Mapbox Inc. (USA), loaded from api.mapbox.com. The image only contains the event's location, but your browser sends its IP address and user agent to Mapbox when loading it. See Mapbox's privacy policy.
Videos on the projects page
Some projects include an embedded video. YouTube videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com, Google Ireland Ltd.) and Vimeo videos with the "do not track" option (Vimeo.com, Inc., USA). The player loads when you scroll to it; the provider then receives your IP address and technical data, and may store information on your device once you play the video. See the privacy policies of Google and Vimeo.
Cookies and local storage
NEXT_LOCALE: if you open the website in a language other than your browser's preferred one, this cookie remembers that language until you close your browser.theme: if you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.- Editors who preview unpublished content receive a technical preview cookie. Visitors never do.
Contacting me
If you contact me by email, phone or LinkedIn, I use your details and message only to handle your request, and delete them once they are no longer needed, unless I have to keep them by law or professional rules.
Transfers abroad
Vercel, Mapbox, Vimeo and Google may process data in the USA and other countries. Such transfers rely on the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks where the provider is certified, or on standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask what personal data about you I process, and have it corrected or deleted. You may also object to processing. Contact me at the address above. You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU, with the data protection authority of your country.
Changes
I update this policy when the website changes how it handles data. The date above shows the current version.
